A CONJUNTA ATUAÇÃO DE PSICÓLOGOS E ENFERMEIROS NA ARTE DO CUIDAR: UMA PERSPECTIVA TEÓRICA

Objective: Discourse the benefits for patients of the joint action between psychologists and nurses in multidisciplinary care. Method: This study is classified as an integrative and exploratory bibliographical review, carried out between August and November 2022, via the Internet through the Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences database (LILACS), the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) and Google Scholar. Results: Nurses act by assisting in patient care, having a high contact, often being the patient's only human contact in days, becoming something important for the mental health of those, which can directly affect their clinical condition. Psychology comes to help in this construction of empathy and assistance, improving communication between professionals, with more assertive psychological interventions. Final considerations: Psychologists and nurses together, can provide treatment based on trust, empathy and reception, respecting the identity of each patient, can enhance a significant improvement in the clinical condition.
