Abstract

Objectives: To portray the experience of a teaching project for third-year medical students in the discipline of rheumatology through art. Highlight the importance of carrying out educational projects using art as a pedagogical tool in higher education. Method: The project took place in the second semester of 2023, with 33 students from the medical course at the State University of Western Paraná - Francisco Beltrão campus - PR, together with the professor of the rheumatology discipline. Results: It was possible to visualize the creation of a solid basis for using the professional skills learned in the rheumatology discipline. The products created by the students regarding the discipline were full of authenticity, creativity, sensitivity, innovation and improvement of their own artistic skills. Conclusion: Creation of an emotional bond between medical students, teacher and rheumatology discipline. Promotion of exchange of experiences between teacher-student and between student-student. Quality artistic production about rheumatology.
