O transporte inter-hospitalar do paciente em estado grave

Objective: Understand how inter-hospital transport of high-risk patients is made. Methods: Narrative literature review using electronic bibliography in the Scielo, Lilacs, and MedLine databases, with 16 articles included after filtering and reading titles and/or abstracts. Results: The 16 studies developed on inter-hospital transport of critically ill patients, between 2018 and 2023, highlight the importance of protocols, equipment, training and communication to ensure safety, especially in the presence of complications. The studies emphasized strategies for efficient transport in all modalities and safety of critical patients between hospitals. Conclusions: Inter-hospital transport is highly safe, with high survival rates both on land and air, and in the face of complications. Positive results are corroborated by the training and rules followed by the teams. Therefore, it proves to be an essential service in the context of emergency care.
